FAQ about hiring clean stand-up comedian for your event
How much do corporate comedians like you charge? The cost depends on who, where, when. I did a show for a charity, on a weeknight, for fewer than twenty people, less than 500 feet from my house, and I charged them $250. I’m based in NY. If you want me to fly half-away across the world to entertain a thousand people for a for-profit corporation, the cost may be somewhere in the region of ten to fifteen thousand dollars, plus reasonable travel expenses. That’s what I charge. I can’t speak for what anybody else might charge, unless you’re booking them through me (which is not a bad idea as I work with a lot of comedians and can often book them for way less than they’d cost if you go through a booking service or speakers’ bureau).
How long is your performance or keynote? I can perform for over an hour and a half, but that’s too long. I recommend twenty to thirty minutes for a corporate comedy performance.
Do you travel? Of course. I’ve headlined shows on six continents. If you can book me for a gig in Antarctica I’d give you a great deal.
Can the show be customized? It can, but to do it right is expensive and really not necessary. A joke or two about your industry really is enough to make people think the show’s all about them.
Is your material clean? Yes. Keep in mind that everybody’s definition of clean is different, so if you have specific concerns please talk to me about them.
Can you emcee an awards banquet? Of course I can.
